The short version
Rodney Lamar founded Lamar Exhibits in 2013 after a career on show floors across the country. He runs the shop, manages key accounts personally, and is on-site for major installs. Lamar Exhibits is a certified MBE, WBE, and VOSB.
Why I started this shop
If you’ve run trade shows long enough, you’ve had that night — standing on a show floor at two in the morning, trying to figure out who’s on the hook for the crate that didn’t show up. The vendor who picks up the phone right then, and actually fixes it, is the one you remember. I’ve been that person on the other end of the line, and I never forgot it.
I started Lamar Exhibits because too many shops leave the client to be the last one to find out something went sideways. I won’t do that to you. My name’s on the door, it’s on the phone, and I’m on the floor at your show.
What I’m doing day to day
Talking through new projects with folks who call in. Walking brand teams through the shop before we lock graphics. On site for the install of anything I’ve scoped myself. A real debrief at the end of every project — not just an invoice. And keeping our capabilities statement current for the procurement folks who’ve kept us on their lists year after year.
